Why is it that people don't get the idea behind the McDonald's "Pa-cheeseburger ka naman!" commercial?
Is that hard to understand that before you could ask someone to treat you to cheeseburgers, you have to have a non sequitur on hand?
I'd admit, it's ok to hear random people on the streets making this mistake, but having highly-paid graduates of prestigious universities to not understand the concept is annoying to say the least.
Then I heard that the said phrase was thrown around during the graduation rites of UP College of Arts and Letters some months ago. The people most likely to understand how this joke works (well... second to College of Social Sciences and Philosophy people) doing it wrong? WTF?!?
To recap:
"Uyyy... malaki bonus niya! Pa-cheeseburger ka naman!" - Wrong
"Uyyy... kita buhok ng ilong niya! Pa-cheeseburger ka naman!" - Correct
